TRAINING CONCEPTS THROUGH GAMES

This page is where you will find all the Ebooks,  games and strategies relating to how you can “re-shape” your dog’s brain, and enjoy a better relationship with him / her, through the power of using 1-3 minute games.  These games are  specifically constructed to take into account the various concepts the dog struggles with

In order to understand how the concepts and games can help you and your dog, download the three documents below.  It is advisable to read in the order presented below.  Need more information?  Contact me here.

THE GAMES

All these  games and strategies deal with different concepts that your dog may have difficulties with.

If you decide to teach  concept-training  to your dog through these games, I would advise you to download the games in the Foundation Games section,  working from games 1 to 10 in that order;  and play in parallel, the appropriate games for your dog under the Optimism & Confidence section

FOUNDATION GAMES

These games should be played first and in the order they are presented.  Each game has been constructed to build upon the last one ( a step-by-step approach), that will make it easier for both you and your dog to carry them out. They should be played in parallel with the games in the OPTIMISM & CONFIDENCE section below.  Not too sure on how to do this?  Contact me here.

  1. Building Eye Contact

  2. Orientation (1)

  3. The Name Game

  4. Proximity (1) - Starters

  5. Self-Control (1) - First Steps

  6.  Through My Legs

  7. Magic Hand

  8. Boundaries - Give Value to the Bed

  9. Centre Point

  10. DMR

OPTIMISM & CONFIDENCE

The games in this section should be played in parallel with the Foundation games, in any order.  They deal with restoring your dog’s confidence and his optimism towards novel situations - such as water issuesnoises; physical contact with people or other objects, etc.  When your dog is confident, he is able to make the right choices in real life situations.

OTHER GAMES & STRATEGIES

These games could be considered more advanced and should only be played when your dog has achieved reliable and correct responses to the above games.  Play them in any order you wish – you are not obliged to play them all – it all depends on what concepts your dog is struggling with, and his personality type.  Choose what is appropriate for your dog.  Need more information?  Contact me here.

These forms are annexes to the  Ebooks and games.  You can also download any of these forms for your personal use.

To help you decide on the various games, I would advise you to download the following two documents that are tables showing the games; the concepts related to each game; and the games for the different struggles your dog may encounter:
